Live now · Selected campsites · 26 tee-time courses
A sold-out campsite or tee time can come back just as quietly as it vanished when someone cancels. itOpened scans selected Recreation.gov campgrounds and 26 TeeOff courses around the clock and texts you when a matching spot opens. You book it yourself, in your own account, at the normal price.
Watching now — Upper Pines Campground, Yosemite
Tell us what sold out on you. If it is in live coverage, we scan it; if it is not, your watch joins the coverage queue and tells us what to build next.
We're setting up your watch now. When a matching opening appears, you'll get a text with a direct booking link — tap it fast and book in your own account before someone else does.
How it works
People book months ahead, then plans change. On the campgrounds and courses we actually scan, a cancellation goes straight back into the pool — with no announcement. Whoever sees it first, gets it.
Pick the place, the dates, and the fit — a site that takes your RV or a tee time before 9am Saturday. Flexible ranges mean more chances on live-covered places.
On live-covered campgrounds and courses, our scanners check the official booking calendars again and again — including at 3am, when a lot of cancellations surface.
When a matching opening appears on a live-covered campground or course, your phone buzzes with a direct link. Tap, book in your own account, done. We never touch the booking.
What we watch
The roadmap is broader than today's coverage. We would rather show the real status category by category than sell scanning we do not run.

Campground scanning is live for selected Recreation.gov campgrounds. State parks, backcountry permits, and timed-entry reservations are not live-scanned yet; their pages explain the release and lottery rules.

Restaurant scanning is not live. These pages publish booking-window facts and collect demand while a legitimate platform route is built.

Concert and sports alerting is not live, and the watch form disables this category. Any future coverage will be labelled before it is sold.

Tour and timed-entry scanning is not live. The listings publish official facts and release guidance; a watch here registers demand for coverage.
In build — not liveWhy not just use the free alerts?
Most booking platforms offer a free "notify me" list. Read the fine print and you'll see the problem: when a spot opens, that same email goes out to every single person watching those dates — sometimes hundreds of people — and the spot is gone before most of them open it.
| Free official alerts | itOpened | |
|---|---|---|
| Who gets told | Everyone on the list, at the same time, in one blast | You, matched to your exact dates and fit, the moment our scan sees it |
| How it reaches you | Email — whenever you happen to check it | Instant text message, day or night |
| What you can watch | One place, one date, on that one platform | Flexible date ranges on live-covered campsites and tee times; in-build categories are labelled before you rely on them |
| How often it checks | On the platform's schedule, not yours | Around the clock on live-covered places, on published facility cycles — paid plans do not buy faster source polling |
| What it costs | Free — and priced like it | Free to start; paid plans fund the scanning speed |

Questions
Yes. itOpened is a monitoring service, and monitoring is all we do. We watch official booking calendars and alert you when an opening appears. We never book, hold, resell, or transfer anything, we never ask for your booking-site passwords, and every reservation is made by you, in your own account, at the normal price. That structure is deliberate — it's what keeps you, and us, on the right side of every platform's rules.
No — and be wary of services that offer to. Booking for you means handing a stranger your account credentials and payment card, and several booking platforms prohibit third-party booking outright. We text you a direct link to the exact opening the second we spot it; the tap-and-book step takes under a minute and stays entirely in your hands.
Then no alert fires, and your watch simply runs its course — we'll tell you plainly that it ended without an opening. Cancellations are common (people book months ahead and plans change), but they're never certain. Your fee pays for the monitoring, and openings are first-come: no service can guarantee a booking. On a membership, you can point that watch at a new target at no extra cost.
Live scanning covers a selected registry of Recreation.gov campgrounds and 26 TeeOff tee-time courses. A campground or course outside those registries is a coverage-queue watch, not an actively scanned watch. Restaurants, Disney dining, park lodges, state parks, tours and timed entry, concerts and sports, and courts are not live-scanned. The methodology page carries the current category status.
Live-covered campgrounds and courses are scanned around the clock on fixed facility cycles: the hottest campgrounds every 2.5 minutes and the standard campground registry about every 10 minutes; golf runs about every 5 minutes for hot courses and 15 minutes for standard courses. A paid plan does not buy faster polling of a source. Once a spot is public, anyone can grab it, so the win goes to whoever taps first.
Anytime, in a couple of taps, from your account page — no contracts and no phone call to a retention department. Pausing is free and keeps your watch list saved for next season, which is how most campers use us: loud in spring and summer, quiet in winter.
