Overview East Bank Beach is located on the William "Bill" Dannelly section of the Alabama River. East Bank Beach offers a designated swimming area and sandy beach surrounded by picnic tables and a large grassy lawn. Picnic Pavillions offer group picnicing with views of the lake.
Sites at East Bank Beach Shelters are reserved through Recreation.gov. Sites here can be reserved in advance through the official system, and they are claimed fast — cancellations then trickle back all season, unannounced, at any hour of the day or night.
