The Black Warrior & Tombigbee Lakes (BW&T) consist of six lakes (Demopolis, Coffeeville, Warrior, Oliver, Holt and Bankhead) with a combined total length of 457 miles and 39,800 surface acres of water. There are boat launching ramps at nearly all the Corps public recreation areas. There are three privately owned marinas that provide fuel, boat repair, supplies, rentals and meet other boater needs.
Reservations for Black Warrior and Tombigbee Lakes are made through Recreation.gov. In peak season, the most popular campgrounds are typically claimed within minutes of each release — which is why the park reads as "sold out" for most of the year.
Sold out is not final, though. People book far ahead and plans change, so cancellations return to the official calendar throughout the season — with no announcement, at any hour. A cancelled site is bookable by whoever sees it first.
