Hop Brook Lake campsites, sold out? Here's how spots come back.

Hop Brook Lake is a popular day use park with swimming and picnicking facilities, athletic fields, picnic shelters and over 7 miles of hiking trails winding through the woods and fields. Canoes, sailboards and rowboats are welcome on the 21-acre lake. The lake and its feeder streams are stocked with trout by the State.

How booking at Hop Brook Lake works

Reservations for Hop Brook Lake are made through Recreation.gov. In peak season, the most popular campgrounds are typically claimed within minutes of each release — which is why the park reads as "sold out" for most of the year.

Sold out is not final, though. People book far ahead and plans change, so cancellations return to the official calendar throughout the season — with no announcement, at any hour. A cancelled site is bookable by whoever sees it first.
